Going very Autumnal

Hello friends

Today I'm going very Autumnal which is rather fitting
with the strange red sky yesterday.
I heard various reasons on the news - the Sahara dust, Ophelia storm,
I don't think I've ever looked up so much!

My first die set is Wreath Elements.
Four dies in the set depicting the seasons.
I chose to cut them all from white card.

I then selected the various leaves and used a selection of distress inks to colour them.

My card base is matted with 6 x 6 Matting Basics and
Wreath die.  This set also comes with a bow.

I then chose to position clusters of leaves and berries.

Added a typed and die cut sentiment.

Loving the embossed detail on the leaves.

Wreath die set is available to pre-order here and
Wreath Elements is available to pre-order here -
I think this die set is going to be very useful, one of those I leave
affixed to my Main Attraction - I adore little leaves.

Both these dies are from the Four Seasons collection
and due in stock towards the end of the month.

Yesterday was a hospital trip for Elliott, he has scans every 6 months
to monitor all is well, the results are next week.
It also means a trip to Surrey, M25 and McDonalds,
that's the most important bit!

Take care friends, tomorrow is Hump Day Giveaway.

Monday again...really?

Hello friends

Did you all have a nice weekend?
As usual they seem to go way too fast and before you know it
Monday again.
Again, a thank you for the lovely comments on my blog,
the cabin isn't always that tidy, right now I cannot see the floor
for boxes of stock etc.
I'm not moaning as receiving new stock is always exciting
and very soon we will have two new collections arriving.

Cool Vibes - coordinating stamp and die set beautifully designed by Stephanie Low.
Here are just two of the stunning sets.

Here's a close up of that stunning sample card for Sunflower,
if you love colouring these are the dies for you!

Also arriving is Four Seasons designed by Lene Lok.

The Four Seasons Tree with optional canopies,
enabling you to make projects for every season -
Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter.
I'm hoping to play with these so will be sharing projects soon.

All these items can be found in the pre-order section of the website here.
In between Elliott's uni work he's been busy on the website again,
he designs all the banners that move about on the
website - 'transitioning' I'm told - I wouldn't have a clue,
they just look nice!

H&C is indeed the home for all things Spellbinders and
we are endeavouring to stock every collection.
We are making changes in our supplier and using a US distributor to get
those pre-orders in as quickly as possible.
We will still keep our prices as low as possible, and don't forget
with every order over £10 you receive loyalty and a free gift,
and of course free shipping!
Big thanks for all your support for our little family run business.

Right...I had better get to the cabin!
Take care friends - have a good start to the week.

Check those kit bags and what's it like now?

Hello friends

If you purchased this month's Charity Kit it is time to check
your kit bags!
This month's kit proved very popular and sold out the same day,
a box kit featuring the lovely Gossamer Knot and

The lucky number is....

If you have number 417 please email me:
with your address details and I'll send out your goody bag to you.

Thank you for the lovely response to my blog post yesterday,
it is hard to believe I've had my cabin for three years.
I wish it was as empty as photographed yesterday, I may stand a chance
of getting organised!  Instead it is packed full.
Patricia commented that she would like to see inside and out
so here's a few pics.

Taken on a tidy day!

Also some time ago I posted a video on Facebook,
it does a little tour of the cabin and I waffle on for a bit!
Click here and hopefully you can view it.

Take care friends, today Mitchell and I are supposed to be cleaning
the conservatory roof and cleaning gutters - glamorous!
Apple picking may have to wait.

Three years ago today....

Hello friends

Three years ago today it was raining...a lot!
It also happened to be the day that my craft cabin arrived.
I thought I would share my post again - the beginnings of my cabin
and now it is my second home...

The torrential rain arrived along with the Woodland Cabin.
But rain did not stop building, in one day it was completed.
It arrived in many many pieces on the back of a huge lorry.

 Just some of the pieces...

The building beginning...yes look at that rain!

 The roof going on...

The workmen got so wet that Mum tumbled dried their clothes!
She also kept them warm with plenty of tea and sandwiches.

 Mum and Elliott keeping watch.
That's insulation sheets that went into the roof and floor.

And then it was finished!

And the obligatory Bella photo!

I'm heading to my cabin today, let's just say it isn't quite so empty.
It has become a very busy place with the stock room at one end
for Hope and Chances and my desk and 'essentials' at the other!
It is most definitely my calm place, also my girly pretty place -
Bella approves!

Take care friends, enjoy your weekend.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends
This week's Friday Die Day is Page Pals.
A different die and very useful for any book worms out there.
Designed by Debi Adams it coordinates with her
This is a 6 piece die set and the approximate measurements are:
Tiny Circle: 0.37 x 0.37 in. 0.9 x 0.9cm
Small Triangle: 0.40 x 0.35 in. 1.0 x 0.9cm
Medium Triangle: 0.80 x 0.65 in. 2.0 x 1.7cm
Medium Circle: 0.75 x 0.75 in. 1.9 x 1.9cm
Large Circle: 1.25 x 1.25 in. 3.2 x 3.2cm
Page Clip: 1.40 x 3.15 in. 3.6 x 8.0cm
Bookmark: 2.00 x 5.25 in. 5.1 x 13.3cm

This is how each die looks cut/embossed.

I selected spotty paper and used the bookmark die to create my main piece.

I then used the circle dies to create multiple pastel round die cuts.

I mounted these onto the bookmark in a random pattern,
keeping flat so it works well as a bookmark.
I also used the page clip die and added Some Bunny -
such a cute die set!

Page Pals is available to purchase pre-loved on the website here.
Some Bunny is also available here.
Uploaded to the website are two new pre-order collections -
Cool Vibes - stamp and die set, perfect if you like mandalas.
Also Four Seasons - love the tree with the option of buying
seasonal canopies.  They can be viewed here.
Take care friends, wishing you all a great weekend -
I'm most definitely crafting and thinking about apple picking...
a local farm is doing pick your own and I'm tempted to get a supply
of cooking apples for the freezer.
I'll let you know if it happens!
